CUSTOMS REGULATIONS
- CUSTOMER'S PRESENCE IN THE COUNTRY IS REQUIRED
TO CLEAR SHIPMENT
- All personal effects (private, military or diplomatic)
subject to customs tax, based on CIF value
- Value of shipment must not exceed $4.00 per pound gross
DUTIABLE/RESTRICTED ITEMS
- All electrical/electronic items and furniture less than
six months old are dutiable and taxable. Invoices are
required as proof of age.
- Home computers are not accepted as personal effects
and will be subject to duties and taxes
PROHIBITED ITEMS
- Alcohol and other spirits are prohibited and should
be sent separately
- Weapons, ammunition, drugs
- Books, films, pictures may be subject to censorship
and confiscation if found to be contrary to local customs
or religious beliefs
MOTOR VEHICLES
- Import license required for new cars and import declaration
for cars less than one year old
- Duty is very high and is based on engine capacity and
on local CIF value of car
PETS
- Health Certificate from veterinarian required
